Why does the pause button automatically turn on when I click the play button in Unity?

 

This issue may happen due to several reasons:

1- Incorrect pressing on the play mode button, like if you double-click on the play mode key. 

2- Maybe the issue is just in this project you are working on !! to check this->  open another project-> click on the play button, and see if the problem is still present.

3- Unity Editor might have a temporary problem, Try restarting the Unity Editor to see if the issue resolves itself.

4- The Error Pause in the console window is checked, just uncheck it.
